TSM has awarded the creation of Welcome Packages Project from
Arlington Public School

Dear Ms. Forte,

On behalf of Arlington County Public Schools, we once again would like to thank you for contributing to our welcome packets for new teachers for the 2002-2003 school year. We have begun initial plans for our 2003-2004 August Orientation for new teachers, and we would like to once again ask for your support.

Each year ARlington Public School welcomes over 250 new teachers. Many teachers come from other counties, states and sometimes other countries. Competition to attract and retain the best teachers is very strong in Northern Virginia. One way to help new teachers develop loyalty to Arlington is to help them feel welcomed as a part of the broader Arlington community. With this goal in mind, we are asking for your help, once again, in creating Welcome Packets to present to new teachers at our Orientation in late August.

New teachers will appreciate any sort of welcome gift. Discount coupons for school supplies, magnets, mugs, notepads, restaurant meals, dry cleaning and groceries are always appreciated. Teachers can always use pens, pencils, highlighters or other office supplies. Anything that you, your clients or customer use, teacher will as well.

Teachers will not only be grateful for the gift, they will be glad to know about the resources available in the community. Our orientation packets will include an acknowledgement of all those who contribute. We will also include acknowledgements in our countywide newsletter "Newscheck". This should help connect you to many new customers.

For the welcome packets, we would need to have 250 of your contributions by July 18, 2003. If you are able to help, please contact Kranulett F. Hunter at 703-228-2111 or email, khunter@arlington.k12.va.us, or you may contact mdaviso@arlington.k12.va.us. Contributions can be sent to:

Sincerely,
